Amazon Launches Export Central: A Cross-Border Tool for European Sellers to Expand Internationally in Just Three Clicks

Amazon has rolled out its new Export Central tool, designed to help sellers who are a part of Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) expand their business internationally, reaching customers in 39 European countries.

Export Central is part of Amazon’s broader European Export Programme, a free service that enables sellers to export from six key Amazon marketplaces— the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. With this programme, sellers can tap into markets in countries without a local Amazon store, such as Austria, Greece, and Portugal, all without needing to create duplicate listings or open additional seller accounts.

The European Export Programme boosts visibility and conversion rates for sellers, offering new growth potential. It is open to all sellers, whether they use Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or handle their own logistics via the Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN).

FBA participants are automatically included in the programme at no added cost. MFN sellers, however, need to provide shipping rates and delivery times for international orders within Europe. Sellers are also required to comply with VAT regulations in the destination country, and enrolling in the Union One-Stop Shop (UOSS) can help streamline VAT management.

Before activating cross-border sales, we recommend that sellers review their product catalog to assess the financial, tax, and operational aspects, ensuring a sustainable international expansion.
